HMRC updates list of approved Self Assessment software suppliers

Published by HMRC checked

HMRC has updated its guidance on commercial software suppliers that can be used to submit Self Assessment tax returns, supplementary pages and attachments.

HMRC maintains a list of approved commercial software suppliers that can be used to submit Self Assessment tax returns, supplementary pages and attachments. Some commercial software includes features that allow users to get details from HMRC to help complete Self Assessment tax returns. This applies to both individual taxpayers completing their own returns and agents completing returns for clients. Users should check with their software supplier to find out if their product includes this feature. **Important note for GOV.UK One Login users:** If someone signs in to HMRC online services using GOV.UK One Login, they will need to create a unique user ID and password to submit their Self Assessment tax return using commercial software. Read the full guidance on GOV.UK for the complete list of approved software suppliers.
